" Speech in the Virginia Convention"

Patrick Henry is the speaker of this speech, and he is presenting his speech during 1775 and 1776. His speech was powerful and it was aimed for the members of the convention. Henry urged armed resistance to England. His speech had a very powerful impact on the colonists and audience. This speech had a revolutionary spirit and his powerful words led to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Henry said," Give me liberty or give me death!"
People can argue as to why Patrick Henry gave this speech. This speech was given to inform his audience, as well as the future audience which is us. He delivered this speech to show the people that they need to stand up for their rights. On his behalf, this shows patriotism because he showed his presence as an important political leader. As for the tone, we could argue that it is serious and demanding because he is literally telling his people that they have no choice but to stand up for their rights and defend as well as unite their colonies. This speech is important because it shows how Patrick Henry was determined to give up his life for freedom.
