This article was founded in the Wall Street Journal, and was written by Maria Abi- Habib and Habib Khan Totakhil. The Talibans had to "celebrate" their great victory of September 11's tenth anniversary by denonating a very powerful car bomb near a vital military base in Afghanistan. The attack was near the capital of Kabul and it left five Afghan civilians dead as well as seventy-seven American troops injured. The blow was so powerful that buildings 300 yards from the explosion were brought down just like the twin towers and well as windows shattered two miles from the explosion! Taliban, took responsibility for the attack. They stated that they will continue to guide attacks like these until they prove to the world that they were not responsible for the attacks that took place in 9/11. All of the injured American troops were taken under medical attention and luckily, none of them were seriously injured. A day of mourning turned into more sadness for many American citizens as they saw their fellow soldiers being injured.
The article is important in significant ways. At first, it proves to us that terrorism will never come to an end, especially not in the Middle East. The fighting will never stop, and gradually it will worsen until the United States puts an endpoint to it. To many people this bombing could have been very important because there was some irony to it. As everyone knows, in the same district of Wardak, where about one month ago thirty American soldiers were gunned down from their aircraft. This is important because it shows us how day by day we lose our fellow colleagues due to war. I also thought this was important because i wanted to show the terror that goes in every day, and i want us to all take actions and do our best to put an end to terrorism.
